Requirements for writing a review on Google
You’ve probably been searching for a restaurant or store on Google, and you see those little stars indicating how many reviews it has and its average rating. Well, those reviews are written by customers like you and me, and here’s what you need to write one:
- A Google account: If you already have a Gmail, YouTube, or other Google account, you’re ready to write a review. If you don’t have one, it’s easy to create one. All you need is an email address and a few personal details.
- Finding the place you want to review: To write a review, you must first find the place on Google Maps. You can search for it directly in the search bar or browse the map. When you find the place, click on its name to access its listing.
- Access the reviews section: Once you’re on the property’s listing, scroll down until you find the reviews section. There you’ll see reviews that the users have written. To write your own, click the “Write a review” button.
- Writing your review: Now comes the most important part: writing about your experience at the place. You can share what you liked most or least. But be careful! Try to be respectful and avoid offensive or discriminatory language. You can also add photos if you like.
- Rate the place: Finally, you must rate the place with a number of stars from 1 to 5. Think carefully about the score you want to give, as this will affect the average of the place.
